Our Centre
Kuluta Buddhist Centre was established in 1998. In our peaceful city sanctuary, Buddha's teachings are presented in an accessible manner that can easily be integrated into busy modern life. Our teachings are based on the books of the contemporary meditation master and internationally-renowned Buddhist teacher,
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.
Our weekly meditation classes are designed for people who are new to meditation and Buddhism, as well as those with more experience. Each class includes guided meditations and teachings on how to use Buddhism to improve your daily life. You can drop in for any class in a series. Each class is able to stand on its own.
Buddha's teachings are concerned with the happiness of all living beings. They are relevant to everyone regardless of nationality, gender, age or culture. Everyone is welcome.
Accessibility Info: The building and our space are both wheelchair-accessible. There is a wheelchair-accessible bathroom a few feet away from our space. Masks are available if requested. We have air purifiers or open windows (depending upon the weather) for air circulation. Our space is on the second floor and there is an elevator available.
We are located in The Spire, 82 Sydenham St. (inside the Sydenham St. United Church), Rm. 205, 2nd Floor, Kingston.
