Dorje Shugden Empowerment and Teachings

In challenging times, we need to find protection from dangers and worries so that we can make continual spiritual progress. Dorje Shugden is a Wisdom Buddha who destroys all our obstacles and gathers all the conditions we need to practice Dharma and transform all of life’s difficulties into the spiritual path.
Gen-la Dekyong will grant the empowerment and share practical teachings on how to come under the constant care of this powerful Protector. The empowerment and teachings are open to everyone regardless of experience.

Gen-la Dekyong is the General Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union. She is the Resident Teacher at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Center, the mother center of our tradition, and teaches extensively internationally. Gen-la studied and practiced for many years with Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche and is his close disciple. She is deeply respected and treasured throughout the Kadampa world for her sincere reliance on her Spiritual Guide, taking his teachings to heart and putting them into practice in every aspect of her life.
